Jack Daniel's Butterscotch Pecan Pie
A friend of mine we'll call him, Shmoe, is awesome. He makes awesome music that you should listen to. It was his birthday this weekend and this Shmoe is a huge PieADay fan. He tried the 1st JD Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie and loved it. For his birthday this past weekend, I was going to bake that pie, but I wanted to switch it up so we decided on butterscotch. The substitution of butterscotch was incredible and melting them and coating the pecans in their melty goodness was one of the best decisions ever.
Makeshift double boiler for melting of the butterscotch chips or you could microwave them.
Once the butterscotch has melted throw in your pecans and mix it up.
Butterscoth all up in those pecan grooves.
The rest of the ingredients. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Beat your eggs, sugar, and corn syrup.
Mix in your vanilla, melted butter, and Jack Daniel's.
Grab your partially prebaked crust and your butterscotch drenched pecans.
Layer them in your pie crust.
Pour your filling over your pecans.
Yumtastic.
Place in the oven and bake for 45 minutes.
Mmmmmmmmmmm.
Everybody loved
this pie. It was devoured in minutes. Those who had tried the chocolate chip version claimed this with butterscotch it was far superior.
I recommend you bake this now.
