Jack Daniel's Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie
Now that I've vastly improved my pie baking abilities I like returning to pies I made when I first started, to gauge my improvement. One of the 1st pies I've made and one of the best pies I've made is the Jack Daniel's Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie. If you're going to have a pecan pie, make it this one. It's a very simple recipe with only a few prior to oven steps so there's no reason you shouldn't give this pie a try. Here's my second attempt at a Jack Daniel's Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie, enjoy.
Grab your ingredients
Combine your eggs and your sugar in a bowl.
Add your cornsyrup.
Mix well. Prebake your oven to 400°F.
Grab your Jack Daniel's and add 2 tbsp.
Add your vanilla extract.
Add your melted buter and mix one last time.
Mix your chocolate chops and pecans in a bowl.
Pour your chocolate chip/pecan mix into your partially prebaked pie crust and grab your filling.
Pour your filling into your pie shell and allow it to settle amongst the chocolate chips and pecans.
Your pie is ready for the oven. Bake for an hour, reducing the temperature to 375°F for the last 30 minutes.
This time the pie came out a lot better than the first attempt, and is still one of the best pies I've made.
