Apple Blackberry Pie
Last week I made an Apple Blueberry Pie. This week I'm testing out this Apple Blackberry Pie. Very similar recipe except for the tapioca. Seems that tapioca has been used in every blackberry pie recipe I've done so far...interesting. Anywho I shared some with my friends and the ones who had also tasted the Apple Blueberry Pie say this one is much superior. I say bake them both and find out for yourself.
Grab you ingredients.
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
To a bowl, add your sugar.
Add your tapioca.
Add your cinnamon.
Mix your together well.
Grab your blackberries and apple slices and toss together.
Gradually add your dry mixture to your fruit while tossing gently.
Once you've tossed well, your blackberries and apples will be fully coated in deliciousness.
Grab your crust.
Empty your filling into your pie crust.
Dot with butter and coat your crust overhang with milk or water.
Grab your top crust and gently place over your pie filling.
Cut off the excess and pinch the edges together. Vent to your liking.
Bake for 50 minutes to an hour. Keep and eye out for any over flow. Remember to always make sure to place a piece of tin foil under your pie just in case.
